Cartoonist Illustrator Ian Dicks’ cartoons have appeared in virtually every major
publication during his long career as a cartoonist. He is able to extract humour
from material that would leave other cartoonists gasping for mercy as his weekly
cartoon for the FT bears witness...impossibly obtuse copy arrives 12.30am...two alternative
cartoon roughs and artwork by 3.00pm.
In fact, he has never missed a deadline and
take pride in his friendly professionalism.
Ian lives and works by the sea with his wife children’s illustrator, Margaret Chamberlain in magical Lyme Regis in a rambling old house once the local undertakers and coffin makers.

He’s created created advertising campaigns for Hamlet Cigars and Flora Margarine and worked on a number of cartoon advertising campaigns and TV commercials.
He has also produced children's illustrations for best selling children's books for Tango books; ‘Them bones’ and ‘Unwrap the Mummy’ as well as compiling and illustrating the Children’s Computer Dictionary for Oxford University press
